About This Portal Page

The HPT Portal is meant to be a starting point for your visit to the entire HPT website. You can visit this one page and view all the latest changes that have been made to both the website (www.homepokertourney.com) and the discussion forums (forums.homepokertourney.com). You can also read the latest poker news, poker strategy articles, blogs, and RSS feeds from numerous online sources. You can view poker hands of the day or use a poker hand simulator.

You can start your daily web surfing by using this portal page as your browser "homepage". You can quickly check to see if you have any Personal Messages (PM), then click on "Recent Unread Topics" to view all the most recent posts. If you are in a hurry, you can click on "Unread & Posted In" to view only the topics that you have previously posted in. You can then click on "Poker News" to view the latest breaking news in the poker world.

The News Feeds
The HPT Portal contains news feeds from other websites. Most of these sites updates their feeds (add new content) every day or two. These news feeds are provided by third parties and are not neccesarily the views of HomePokerTourney.com. The news feeds displayed on HPT are updated once every 13 hours.

Latest Poker News Feed Headlines
One headline (the most recent) from each of the news feeds shown on the Poker News page.

TV Listings Pages
The listings are provided by www.reallypoker.com. If a channel image is missing, it is new and I have not yet downloaded the new image file. It appears that the USA listings are sometimes missing and this messes up the page. If you visit the page and it is a little messed up, please come back later.

Login/Logout Problems
There is a Login on both the forums page and the portal page. You can use either Logon but you will be redirected to the forums page no matter where you Login from. The Logout is a bit messed up because of this and it sometimes takes two attempts to Logout properly. I will work on these bugs to see if I can fix them.

Automatic Refresh
The HPT Portal main page will automatically refresh itself every 5 minutes.
